This used to be a good app until they introduced constant full page ads, making it unusable. When I start the app, it gives me a full page ad that can't be dismissed. Anytime the screen blanks (which happens a lot because it does nothing prevent it), I get another full page ad that can't be dismissed. I did eventually discover that I *can* dismiss the ad after about 30 seconds if I do a "go back" gesture, but this is completely non-obvious.

Readings felt more all over the place compared to other apps /// Adding to respond to the comment from the developer: I have another app that I use pretty frequently. I downloaded this one to compare, and the readings were much more inconsistent, they varied significantly over the span of a minute even though the volume did not change, and repeated measurements did not yield the same results

Very basic app but it works which SPL Meter does not anymore, something goes wrong with calibration. Things I wish this app had are a dark skin and for variable read timings which would make calibration easier. No adverts which is good, found it read high compared to a meter so calibration is necessary as with most of these types of apps. Edit -- Now to many ads which are very intrusive, I may have to purchase, hope the app is maintained to make it worth it. Star removed.
